The Wedding

August 1st, 2009

The wedding was held behind the Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
The lighthouse is about half a mile away from the kids' house
and was a wonderful location for the wedding.

Here are a few shots of the view behind the lighthouse where the ceremony was held.

The Groom with his father and brothers.
Gee, don't they clean up well? Such a handsome group!

Here comes the Bride.
(With her proud father on her arm.)

The Vows -
They were so cute! They couldn't stop smiling and grinning at each other.
My heart felt all swollen up and in my throat watching the two of them.

The Kiss
We all cheered, of course.

The newest Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwater.
It was really strange to hear those words, "Please say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Fitzwater."
I was pleased that she wanted to take his name as her own.

The Wedding Party
A sister, a good friend from the very beginning,
the Bride and Groom,
and two very best friends from high school.

The Bride, Groom, and their parents.
And I do believe that the in-laws all really like each other!
Her parents are really wonderful people.

Cutting the cake.
Rather than the traditional wedding cake, they had tarts made.
Custard and lots of fresh fruit. Mmmmm, yummy!

The First Dance.
Awwww, they were so cute!
And everyone was snapping pictures like crazy.

Off to the Honeymoon.
From where the reception was held, they ran off down stairs.
I know they were ready to go, but we sure would have liked to have spent more time with them.
Sigh.
Off to the Honeymoon.
