Cinnamon Rolls
4 T sugar
1 T yeast (or one package)
2 C very warm water (105 – 110 degrees) (Water that is too hot will
kill the yeast)
6 (to 6 1/2) C flour
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
¼ C oil
1 T vanilla
Cinnamon/sugar mixture for sprinkling
Mix water into sugar and yeast, let dissolve and bubble and foam.
Add the rest of the ingredients~ except for the cinnamon/sugar
mixture.
Mix well, stickier dough makes better rolls. Place in well greased bowl and
let rise until double in size.
After dough has risen first time, pour dough out onto WELL FLOURED
counter, roll into large rectangle.
Smear melted butter onto rectangle, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Roll up into log, slice and place on well grease cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees about 20 minutes.
Frosting
The frosting I make is simply powdered sugar, melted butter, and milk.
Start with some powdered sugar (about a pound?).
Add about 2 Tbl of melted butter.
Then add milk a bit at a time until the frosting is the consistency you want.
Be careful when adding the milk, because frosting can get runny quickly.
